What the ClickCues widget collects
You are seeing this page because a website you are reviewing uses ClickCues to collect feedback. ClickCues is the software the site's team uses to receive your comments. The team who owns that website decides what to do with your feedback.
What is sent when you submit feedback
- What you write. Your comment or bug description, an optional title, priority, and any name or email you choose to enter. Name and email are optional.
- Page context. The address of the page you are reviewing, limited to the domain and path. Query strings and URL fragments (which can contain tokens, session identifiers, or email addresses) are stripped before anything is stored.
- A screenshot of the page. A picture of the page as it looked when you submitted, plus the element you pinned. Password fields, payment card fields, and any area the site owner marks as private are blanked out before the screenshot is taken.
- Basic technical details. Browser and operating system name, window size, and — if the site owner leaves browser diagnostics enabled — recent JavaScript error messages from the page. Error text is scrubbed for tokens, keys, and email addresses before it leaves your browser.
- Files you attach. Only files you deliberately attach to a comment.
What the widget does not do
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by the widget.
- No keystroke logging, session replay, or continuous recording of your activity.
- Password and payment fields are blanked before any screenshot is taken, and their contents are never transmitted, stored, or sent to any AI model.
- Nothing is sent until you press submit on a piece of feedback.
Automated processing
Submitted feedback may be summarised and categorised automatically by an AI model to help the site's team triage it. Automated summaries are labelled as AI-generated inside the product, and the original text you wrote is always kept unchanged.
Who to contact
For anything about your feedback itself, including removal, contact the team that owns the website you were reviewing: they control that data. For questions about the ClickCues platform, use our contact page. See also our Privacy Policy, AI Disclosure and Security pages.
For site owners
Add data-clickcues-ignore to any element on your page to exclude it from screenshots and from the element details ClickCues records. Password fields, payment card inputs, and third-party payment iframes are excluded automatically.
You can also turn off Browser diagnostics in Project Settings. With it off, the widget does not wrap console.error on your pages and no host-page JavaScript errors are buffered or submitted.
